Gillian was quite pleased that it was, for the third time, her week with Parker penguin from school. I took a picture of G, Parker, Aunt Cedes, and Squishy for Parker's journal for school.
Colin brought Dewey along too. For company. And for Grammy to sew poor Dewey's flipper back on. Being a well loved penguin is a dangerous job.
GraGra came to the shower to celebrate Squishy, but managed to squeeze in some dinosaur floor time too.
The kids were quite excited about all the yummy snacks too!
(Oh my GOODNESS. Those cupcakes were GOOD. Those are little lion sprinkles on top too.)
So, while the ladies all played games, Uncle D and Papa Frank were helpful and entertained C&G outside (with lawn mower and wagon rides, of course).
Gillian did come in JUST in time to win the "How Big is Aunt Cedes' Belly" game. We were all laughing at how SHORT G made her ribbon. But, she was within 1/3" of being spot on! Mrs. Sevin tied with her in closeness. So they got a winners' picture together!
And speaking of WINNING. Mrs. Kathy was VICIOUS in her pursuit of everyone's clothes pins. When they even whispered the word BABY, she gleefully stole their pins! Jessie Bean would have been QUITE impressed.
Colin and Gillian were QUITE happy to be present helpers. ENTHUSIASTIC present helpers.
The Penguin came BACK!
Uncle D and Aunt Cedes gave C&G these penguin suits for their first Christmas. So, they got one back for Squishy! Fair, right?
Grammy made Squishy a beautiful quilt!

Oh, and look who stopped by to visit C&G and eat up shower leftovers...JOE! Everyone's hero!
Fun party, nice people, beautiful weather...and we can't wait for SQUISHY!!
