Mommy's New Phone

For my birthday, I got a new phone.  A shiny, new, fancy iPhone.  With a sweet camera.  I've been enjoying being able to snap pictures, NICE pictures, where ever we are and no matter what we are doing!  It just not always easy to remember to bring the bigger camera with us!  So, here's just a taste of what I have caught so far!

Spring!

After a lot of cold and snow and just YUCK, it finally decided to get nice around here. Daddy had to mow tonight! The trees are green, the magnolias are in bloom, the hyacinths are just about done! And we have been enjoying A LOT of time outside! Woo hoo! Just a random round up of some outdoor play:

I keep trying to take the kids to a playground in the afternoon and they keep telling me no, they want to play in the yard. Sometimes I DO win though and we go to the playground.




So,so, so happy to be OUTSIDE again! Oh yeah, and dirty.

Playdate!

We met up with our friends Miss Beth, Natalie, and Jackson a week or so ago for a great morning of sunshine and play. We don't get to see these guys often, but the kids play very well together when we do! The girls especially seemed to have a lot of fun together this time!

Gillian has been super focused on doing the monkey bars by herself this summer. Only one or two of the playgrounds we visit even HAVE monkey bars. But she practices when she can! Just the week before this playdate she had completed the BIG monkey bars all by herself! Here she is "teaching" Natalie how to do it.

We love seeing these guys! Unfortunately Natalie is in preschool the opposite days as C&G this year. But, we'll find the time to get together!

Memorial Weekend, Part 1

Finally catching up on Memorial Day weekend, only two weeks late.

We headed north on Friday and settled in with dinner and swimming with Dickiedoo and Noonie! So much fun! And that Gillian is just about a fish in water now! I wish we could get her in the pool more often because I think she would be a full fledged swimmer! And, as usual, no pictures. Bummer.

Saturday kicked off steamy and hot. Thankfully Grammy gave us a call to let us know about the NEW and FUN spray feature added to the Brockway playground! We love a good spray park. And Colin was totally begging to go to a playground that morning. He SO doesn't understand how to be a country kid. Suburban all the way. Kinda sad. Anyway, the spray and play was much enjoyed.


Later on Saturday we had Grammy and Papa Frank over for a picnic to celebrate my birthday! Delicious and fun!

Pre-Easter Rundown.

Trying to catch up on Easter before the next holiday gets here! Lots of pictures to share!

We had a great Easter holiday. Dry, semi-warm weather and lots of friends and family to celebrate with. We headed to the Great North on Friday and had a nice pizza dinner with Dickie, Noonie, Uncle Stevie (who will hence forth be known as Stinkiedoo) and Aunt Emily.

We stayed with Grammy and Papa Frank this trip and Saturday morning we had some fun coloring eggs. Gillian had picked out a cool "glitter dye" set at the grocery store LONG before Easter, so we were READY.

Apparently we have no "finished" egg pictures! They turned out very pretty. The colors were quite intense and the glitter was pretty. Not so nice when you try to peel and eat the egg, maybe?

After eggs we met some "old" hometown friends and their kiddos at the Brockway playground for some fun. These diggers got a good workout!









Both kiddos took good naps that afternoon! Then we headed to Great-Grandma and Great-Papa's house for (a DELICIOUS) Easter dinner and an egg hunt with Sarah and Ben!
