We started trying rice cereal, then oatmeal, when the babies were 4 months old. It has taken us a while, but they have decided that, maybe, it is ok. After we have their 6 month appointment in April, we'll start vegies, then fruit. Can't wait to see that mess!!

Colin got the spoon from me! He obviously has no clue what to do with it!

Very First Trip to the Park
Our first walk in the Park
Since the weather was so beautiful last weekend, we took the babies to the park for a walk. They seemed to enjoy it. I know I did! I've been pretty much trapped in my house since last July, so every chance to get out is a JOY to me. Grammy Lynn, Grandpa Frank, Uncle D, and Aunt Mercedes had stopped by and joined us.
We're Movin' Now! (alternately titled "Obean-Wan Kenobean")
Gillian has rolled over!!! She has been really, really close for a few weeks now, but no luck. Until yesterday! I went in at 5:30 to check on her and she was on her belly! I flipped her over and she IMMEDIATELY flipped back on to her belly. Pretty impressive. She has rolled a few more times since, but only when everyone is out of the room. Very suspicious. Anyway, here's a picture of her wearing her fleece sleep sack that Mary Mazzoni made. She is just about the cutest thing ever in it. Daddy calls it her Sack of Cuteness. I think she looks like a Jedi-in-Training.
Mr. Cool
Colin has a couple nice Penn State onesies, but alas they're short sleeved. This time of year, he really probably should have long sleeves on. As a result, he has to wear a long sleeved onesie underneath his PSU outfits. See example below:
Apparently, wearing your long sleeve shirt under your short sleeve shirt under your long sleeve shirt is pretty cool:

Random Bean Cute-ness
The Twins Get Baptized!
We took little C&G to Beechwoods to get baptized at the church that my family attends, and that I grew up in. Michael and I agree that it was a wonderful day. Reverends Emily and Dave Koehler are the ministers at the church, and they had such a wonderful service. Everything was so personalized for the babies, and the entire congregation was so happy to see them and celebrate with us! Rev. Emily's sermon was about God's promises to all of us, and especially to Gillian and Colin. It was very moving; even Rev. Emily was teary! The babies were so well behaved, and even slept through most of the actual "getting wet" part! We had a lovely lunch afterward to celebrate with about 40 of our closest friends and family! Some pictures from the day:
The four of us, this is before I started crying:

Although it's not the highest-quality photo in the world, I love this picture! These are all four of my grandparents (paternal on the left, maternal on the right). I am so very blessed to have all 4 of my grandparents and I feel so lucky to have a picture of them with Colin and Gillian.
Sadly, Michael's grandmother wasn't feeling well enough to join us. It was the one damper on the day.
Grandma Dot with Colin. She has been sick the other times we visited with the twins, so this is the first time she got to hold them. The funniest part was, whenever they would fuss the littlest bit, she would hand them back! I suppose the Grandma's Prerogative extends even further when you are Great-Grandma!
Samantha with Gillian. Samantha does not give up babies unless forced to! We are hoping that Gillian is just as nice a girl when she grows up as Samantha is.
My Dad (AKA DickyDoo), Jodie, Grandma Dot, Grandpa Bob, Michael, me, C &G.
Grandpa Frank and DickyDoo with C&G. I love this picture, and it cracks me up that Frank is lifting Gillie's chin up. Poor girl has my chins.
A close up of Colin's handsomeness. He is wearing the sweater that Michael and Uncle David wore for their baptisms, and he is also wearing RED SOCKS in honor of Grandpa Lee, who wears red socks for all special occasions.
Grandma RoRo, Grandpa Greg, Grandma Gert, Grandpa Lee, Mommy, Daddy, C &G.
Great-Grandpa Lee with Gillie. Apparently she was fussy and she was immediately returned to Daddy!
Grandpa Frank, Grammy Lynn, Superior Aunt Sharon, Superior Uncle Ray, Mommy, Daddy, C & G. Note that Aunt Sharon did not make Gillie cry, it was just the end of a long day!
C&G loving Uncle D and Aunt Mercedes!

All in all, a wonderful day.

Our new chair
So, I've always been a bit suspect of the Bumbo chair. It just doesn't look comfy, or developmentally appropriate. However, lately Colin wants to sit all the time, but obviously he can't do it himself. So, I broke down and got a Bumbo (I know, not the last time as a parent that I'll reverse my course). He seems to like it!
