Wave Pool!

Hot on the heals of our wave pool adventure at Idlewild, we decided to take the kids to the South Park Wave Pool that is, you know, 3 minutes from our house. We had actually never been there, but it was hot, we needed something to do, and the kids like to get wet. So after naptime on Sunday, we headed up over the hill for some fun.

Unlike the amusement park pool where life jackets were required, at this pool life jackets were forbidden. Hmmmm. Ok. Thankfully it was a zero entry pool, so the kids could wade and splash all they wanted. Daddy showed them how to pull themselves along on their arms while they floated and kicked their feet. They liked that. They were not so keen on the waves this time. I think they were just too much without the security of the life jacket. C&G were also SHIVERING after about 5 minutes in the water, even though it was 88 degrees. So, we made several runs to the towels to "snuggle" and warm up.

We were only there for maybe 90 minutes, but it was a fun, new adventure. Next time Gillian wants to rent one of the rafts they have there though. Oh boy.

Pool time is the best and 90 minutes sounds perfect. And look at those skinny arms and legs!! So jealous, I don't allow pictures at the pool of myself.

Yes, but notice the use of the children to hide my thighs, belly, and hips. HA!
