We have been meaning to return a box of clothes to Ken and Laura Miller for, oh, about two months now. Finally, yesterday, we made it to their house to return the preemie and newborn clothes and goodies that the Millers had kindly lent us! You see, they have boy/girl twins that are exactly 3 1/2 months older than ours'. Ian and Julia have been a wonderful resource for us!! Laura always gives me the heads up on what's coming next for me!!
As you can see, they are just pretty darn cute themselves! It's fun to see them creep, crawl, stand, and try to walk and know that shortly, we'll be there too. Also, frightening, but, hey, there's no stopping it! We weren't there for a very long visit, but long enough to get some pictures!
Ian and Colin, sittin' and chattin' (although, I think Ian thought Michael was the funny one!):
Quizzical Ian:
Something was funny, anyway:
Now the girls! Julia was showing Gillie how their Exersaucer worked, and she shared very nicely! What pretty girls!
We hope to spend lots more time with Ian and Julia! They're fun!

Sweet Potatoes
After a very long wait, we have finally started vegetables! As instructed, we started with sweet potatoes. The kids seemed to accept them better than the cereal upon first bite. Although their faces were a little funny! It's not the best video since I was both feeding and filming.

Yet Another Growth Chart Update
So today was the twins six-month check-up, which happened to be exactly six months from the day that they were born. Anyway, another check-up means another round of chart updates.

Hmm, something looks familiar here....
I just noticed this morning that Colin is wearing the same outfit in most of the pictures for the past few weeks (his trucks sleeper). I feel the need to point out that it's all coincidence, just in case when he's fifteen he tries to accuse me of making him wear the same thing everyday when he was a baby. Do boys care about that stuff?

Colin Jumps!
Colin has figured out the Jumperoo and is really enjoying it... What this place needs is more jumping!

Easter Hats!
Well, not really "Easter Hats", but hats received as Easter presents. The Keisters were kind enough to give beach hats to C-Man and the Li'l Bean for Easter. These are a highly useful addition to our wardrobe as we'll be heading to the beach this summer. Below you'll see Colin sporting his new hat. He seemed very, very pleased with it...
The Li'l Bean didn't get quite as worked up about the new millinery but still looked adorable. She may have some growing to do to fill it out.
P.S. Did I mentioning that the lining of Colin's hat has TRUCKS on it!
P.P.S. Thanks again to the Keisters!

Easter Visiting
I have been on Spring Break for the past two weeks, although, it's hard to tell the difference, as I only work 1 1/2 days a week! Anyway, it was nice to have a few extra days off; I got a little extra house work done and I took the babies to visit the North for a few days before Easter. Daddy joined us on Good Friday and we had dinner with Grammy Lynn, Grandpa Frank, and the Keisters. Jessica hadn't seen the babies since Christmas, so I think she was amazed with how different they were.
A little Bean-to-Bean tete-a-tete.
And, as usual, Joe had some words of wisdom for C-man. Note that Colin wore his truck outfit especially for Joe.
On Saturday, C&G dyed their first Easter eggs with Grandma RoRo and their friend Kathy. They both picked the color for their egg and, actually, they seemed pretty into the whole activity for a short while.
Discussing the egg results with Grandma:
They seem pleased!
On Sunday, Michael and I took the babies to church. It takes quite a bit of effort to get all of us clean, fed, and dressed before 11:00 am, so somehow in the shuffle we didn't get a picture of Colin in his final outfit. I think the Grandmas have pictures though.
Gillian, looking sweet in her first Easter dress; note the peep-toe shoes (thank you Grammy Lynn):
Colin, cool dude. (He had an adorable argyle sweater vest and polo shirt that he put on JUST before leaving, but he's pretty darn cute in this picture!)
We had a fun, fast, furious, tiring day! The Easter Bunny sure spoils twins rotten!

Maddie Comes for a Playdate
On Friday, my friend Liisa and her daughter, Maddie, came to visit for a while. Maddie has visited the babies before and LOVES them. She likes to watch their videos; over and over, I believe. Anyway, she seemed to have a nice time talking to the babies, and she certainly enjoyed their toys and baby gear. Gillian loved watching her walk all around. As you can see in the picture, she got their attention!
Note Schmo in the background. He decided to be very, very friendly on Friday. I'm not sure what he was up to, but I'm sure it was evil.

Visiting the Smith Family
While we up north a few weeks ago for the "Meet N' Greet" we had lunch with my Smith family. Luckily, Aunt Lori and Zachary were visiting, and Zachary was interested in holding the babies. Apparently, he wants to tell them when they are big that he held them when they were little. So, he got to hold Gillian; while he was holding her, everyone sort of walked away from them and I think he ended up holding her a lot longer than he bargained for. I rescued him eventually, and he looked relieved.
Of course, Great-grandma wanted to hold babies!!! She seemed to think Colin didn't like her, but he's just a grump sometimes. Nothing personal.
Gillian was, as usual, sporting her skeptical look. You can't take that personally either!

Dill Harris?
I didn't think this photo would turn out this well. But, when I pulled it up on the PC, I was pleasantly surprised... All I could think of was Dill Harris in To Kill A Mockingbird, when he tells Jem and Scout about how his mom entered his photo in a contest, and gave him the five dollars that she won.
Fortunately the C-Man is too young to want five dollars for his photo.
