LAST Snow....I'm hoping.

P3061218.JPG

Last Tuesday night into Wednesday morning we got about 6" of snow. Heavy, wet, sticky stuff. We had no where to go and nowhere to be, so we bundled up, went out, and got soaked. Let's hope this was our LAST "big" snow of the season!

Gillian and I made this cute little guy. Colin told me "snowmen are boring." Whatever.

Colin did find some fun....an Angry Birds Star Wars snowball fight. He was Luke. Gillian was Leia. I think they decided I was Chewbaca. After they wouldn't let me be Jabba. They never let me be Jabba.

Fun morning. But it could be the last one until next December...REALLY.

Parker's Return!

Oh joyous day! Gillian's friend Parker came back! She's been waiting FOREVER.

We had another fun week with Mr. Parker. He played with our penguin friends, slept with Gillian every night (except the one night G let him sleep with Colin), he went to dance with Gillian twice, AND he took a trip to the dino museum with us!

Our weather last week was COLD and snowy....just want penguins like! So, he loved watching Gillian sled and play in the snow!

We MAY get Parker back in May...if the calendar works out...but I didn't tell Gillian that. It will just be a great surprise if it happens!

Snow! FINALLY.

After a warm and non-snowy winter last year, Colin and Gillian were BEGGING for snow. We got perhaps a half inch before the holiday and they were DESPERATE to play in it. But, finally, FINALLY Old Man Winter helped the kids out and brought us 4" on Boxing Day and then 6" more a few days later. They were so happy about it!

I was happy because Daddy was still home from work on vacation and HE could go out in the cold to play! (I have since invested in a new pair of snow pants so I'm more likely to make it out in the snow.)

There was lots of shoveling (with C&G's new kid sized snow shovels), running, yelling, snowball attempting, and small scale sledding in the yard. Oh, and a third of an igloo.

And FINALLY the snow was right for this guy:

His name his Frosty.

We even had some cocoa.

The cocoa is the best part, in my mind. Well, those giggles while C&G race down the big hills in the park are pretty great too!
