Easter, Part 2

After a delicious lunch at Great-Grandma's we headed back to Grammy's house to grab a quick power nap. Thankfully, both kiddos were out like lights and, at least, got an hour of sleep before we were on to our next adventure!

Grammy had things all set up to dye some eggs when the kids got up!

Gillian was quite intent on her egg work. She wanted an egg in each cup and she wanted to get it out again, IMMEDIATELY. She really didn't take kindly to artistic direction either.

Colin was pretty excited too. He was more open to letting Uncle D and Aunt Cedes helping a bit though!

When Colin was done, he moved on to go play trains. Gillian took over his side of the table, and was even LESS inclined to accept assistance. She was thumping the eggs pretty hard at this point and cracked one (as to be expected from a two year old, but, really, she wasn't listening AT ALL).

A split second after that picture, I went to grab her to get her down from the table and she moved backwards, and BOOM, giant bloody lip. And screaming. It looked much worse than it actually was though, and after an icy cold washcloth, some cuddling, and a bit of distraction, she was fine. Although, it was a fine looking bump for a few days. And she needed to change clothes. I hadn't brought many spares for the weekend, so she was quite content to wear The Famous Piggy Jammies to dinner.

We headed into Dickidoo and Noonie's house for supper. The kids always love going there. On the drive in, Colin told us he wanted to go swimming in Dickiedoo's pool though. Perhaps the NEXT holiday he can do that!

Colin and Gillian always enjoy playing with Noonie's grand-children's left-over toys (they are mostly too old for these toys now, but we're glad they still left them!). They especially like the wooden doll cradle and wooden rocking horse. And some baby dolls!

However, Colin's favorite find of the evening was a whoopie cushion. I have no idea what it was doing at Dickidoo's house, but somehow, it just doesn't surprise me that it was there! Colin laughed his butt off for about 30 minutes with that thing. It was very funny.

Check out the whoopie cushion peeping out from under his bum! He would put it on the floor, then sit down as hard as be could, but he's so little, it wouldn't do anything! Daddy helped him out though!

Colin just loves to get wound up with Dickiedoo. Because that is just what Dickiedoo does with little kids. Always has been.

Anyway, we got the kids into bed a reasonable hour and started to wait for the bunny!

I love the whoopie cushion pictures!! That just made me laugh out loud at work - I'm hoping no one noticed. ;) And Colin looks so cute in that shirt - Dash calls his the "scary snort" shirt (from the book "Are you my Mother?". Cute cute kiddos!! Glad your Easter was awesome!

oh my gosh, this whole series of pictures is just too cute. Looooove G cuddling the babies, C with the whoopie cushion, and the hug picture is just priceless. That's blow-up worthy.

So glad you guys had such a fun Easter!!
